Planting trees
Emergency: Global Warming
Project: This started as a cubicle decoration competition at our workplace in Oct 2007. We decorated our work area under the theme of "Global Warming". The horrors of Glacial melting and deforestation dawned on us (finally). We concluded that if we want our in our grandchildren to see this Earth as sujalam sufalam malayaja sheetalam (rich with water, fruits and cool fresh breeze) then we should plant more trees. Each one took a pledge to plant 5 trees in a year.
We have planted 15 trees so far. 5 more to go.
